Last year’s Expo Seguridad Mexico brought in more than 4,000 attendees and 172 exhibitors.

This year’sISC West will take place March 27-30, in Las Vegas at the Sands Expo and Convention Center and will have new educational tracks, including an IP Institute and roundtable discussions. The IP Institute will include a Level I, one-day session, and a Level II, two-day session — both specifically geared toward those from the physical security market. Also this year will be two “shows-within-a-show.” Urban Security will cover security for applications such as city and commercial property protection. SmartHome@ISC is an inaugural event, and will feature products and technologies for residential installers and home automation experts. Visitwww.iscwest.com.

Expo Seguridad Mexico 2007 will celebrate its fifth anniversary April 24-26, 2007 at Centro Banamex in Mexico City, and will feature a larger exhibit hall, a full conference program and variety of special events. Last year, show management boasted attendees from 18 countries, including many in Central America and the Caribbean including Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

“Expo Seguridad Mexico promises to be an important business opportunity for companies outside of Latin America — especially U.S. companies because of its close proximity and almost non-existent trade barriers,” said Andrea Ferrando, sales and marketing director for the Expo. “It’s never too late for companies to get in the market. We have an extensive network of contacts and can introduce exhibitors to key local players. We even offer exhibitor packages that include a bilingual host.”

For the 2007 show, the Latin American Security Association and ASIS International have put together an electronic security summit that will offer a number of certification classes as well as more than 50 educational conferences. For more information, visitww.exposeguridadmexico.com.
