10-Year Industry Performance in Installation Revenue & RMR

As part of the “Security Alarm Industry Overview” session at the recent Barnes Buchanan Conference, Michael Barnes showed that over a 10-year period that includes the Great Recession, industry revenues from installation/related services (green bars) fell to their lowest levels and reset to about the same volume they were at in the mid-2000s, while RMR (blue bars) never slipped because installation activity was more than enough to replace attrition during that time.
