FBI Report Reveals Effect of Government Shutdown on Terrorism Fight

January 30, 2019

The FBI Agents Association has released a 72-page report with accounts from FBI agents explaining how the U.S. government shutdown has impaired their ability to fight terrorism and other crimes.

The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) is an organization founded in 1981 with a mission to advance and safeguard the careers, economic interests, conditions of employment and welfare of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agents and retired FBI Special Agents.

The report, "Voices from the Field," details how the lack of funding affects essential FBI operations, such as investigations into crimes against children and terrorism.

The report is available here.
