The Monitoring Association's Monitoring Center Excellence Awards, sponsored by SDM Magazine, are designed to recognize any monitoring center that is certified by one of the TMA-recognized Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories. (Applicants are not required to be TMA members.) The purpose of the awards is to promote the value of monitoring services, honor those who have made significant contributions to the industry and who promote the level of professionalism of UL listed monitoring centers. Awards include: Monitoring Center of the Year; Monitoring Center Manager of the Year; Monitoring Center Operator of the Year; and Monitoring Center Support Person of the Year. The winners are profiled in SDM's August issue and on the website.
