SWC, a critical communications integrator, has acquired acquisition of ACT, a security and technology provider in middle Tennessee, a familiar market to the SWC brand.
The purchase will extend SWC’s services within the company’s middle Tennessee market, including the addition of 58 team members employed by ACT.
“SWC continues to prioritize the acquisition of companies that provide adjacent technologies and market differentiation to the business,” said SWC President Todd Lucy. “These priorities led us to conversations with ACT, a recognized leader providing security, fire, and life safety solutions in the growing Middle Tennessee market. The combined company will offer our respective customers a consistent experience with a broader range of products and services.”
The combined company will offer critical communications, life safety, fire, and security products and services in healthcare, education, commercial and detention markets.
“When it came time to consider the transition and future of these relationships, SWC was one of our earliest considerations,” said ACT Partner Randy Mann. “I couldn’t be more optimistic about the future for SWC and am confident our employees and clients are going to be very well cared for.”
“We wanted to find the best regional company that would value our employees’ dedication and professionalism and treat our customers with the care and commitment that we have provided them for many years,” said ACT Partner Joel Hill. “In my years as a partner at ACT, many of these people have become my friends and family. We’re excited to make this transition to SWC, as we are certain they will continue to be treated as such.”
