Allegion was recognized with the Best New Product award for its LCN 6400 COMPACT Series operators yesterday for the 2022 SIA New Products & Solutions Awards at ISC West.

The LCN 6400 COMPACT Series low-energy operator is a simple and cost-effective solution that enables facilities to automate more openings for touchless access and accessible operation. The modular design is unique and allows the reuse of an existing LCN 4040XP mechanical closer. The electrified module connects with a mounting plate and just four screws and drives open the mechanical closer. The simplicity of this solution reduces the cost, labor and complexity required to automate an opening.

The Judges’ Choice Award was presented to Hakimo for its Hakimo Alarm Monitoring 2.0. The product, submitted to the Commercial Monitoring Solutions category, uses AI to solve two problems faced by monitoring stations and security operations centers: access control false alarms and tailgating detection. The company says the product reduces false alarms by 80%+ with a less than 1% false positivity rate.

In addition, ASSA ABLOY received this year’s SIA NPS Merit Award, presented each year to an individual or company who support the awards program and contribute to the vision, mission and success of the program, as well as promote the advancement of SIA overall.

This year, the SIA New Products & Solutions Awards’ 31 judges looked at more than 70 products. A new category was introduced called the Emerging Tech category. In addition, the awards program went through a rebranding this year from the New Products Showcase to New Products & Solutions Awards program reflecting the change and evolution of the industry.
