David Morgan, co-founder of SD Marketing, is the newest honoree to receive the California Alarm Association (CAA) Mark Schubert Memorial Award.
Morgan received the award during CAA’s recent Spring Convention in Palm Springs, Calif.
The Schubert Memorial Award, sponsored by ISC West, honors individuals who demonstrate dedication to the industry through volunteerism within the CAA. Morgan’s efforts throughout his years within the industry have included volunteering as the CAA Communications Chair over the past six years, having worked closely with the board and local chapters throughout the state.
“David Morgan has demonstrated steadfast volunteerism for the past many years. Many people within the industry and within the CAA have benefitted from his tireless efforts and willingness to impart his industry knowledge. The CAA was pleased to bestow the honor to a very deserving CAA member,” shared Michael Salk, president of CAA.
Morgan has managed marketing for some of the nation’s largest brands, including Experian’s FreeCreditReport.com, United Online’s NetZero, Adidas, Proflowers and Guthy-Renker. For almost a decade, he has focused solely on the security industry in his executive role with SD Marketing.
Leaders within the CAA nominate individuals within the CAA who demonstrate an exceptional level of professionalism and passion for the industry, as was demonstrated by the award’s namesake, Mark Schubert.
“I am honored and humbled to have received the Mark Schubert Memorial Award and receive it with the deep value it holds to the many touched by Mark’s lasting efforts. I am passionate about this industry and equally passionate about helping those in it achieve their goals,” Morgan commented.
