ASSA ABLOY announced that it acquired J Newton Enterprises, a Florida-based pedestrian door distributor and service company.
The move is but one of many recent acquisitions for the company. In the past few months, ASSA ABLOY has acquired Alcea, Caldwell, JOTEC, Arran Isle Ltd. and Onmi-ID.
J Newton Enterprises is a woman-owned, state licensed and insured contractor that furnishes, installs, services and repairs all makes and models of commercial and automatic doors.
“I am very pleased to welcome J Newton Enterprises into the ASSA ABLOY group,” said Nico Delvaux, president and CEO of ASSA ABLOY. “This acquisition delivers on our strategy to reinforce our current offering within entrance automation.”
J Newton Enterprises was established in 2003 and has more than 60 employees. The company is headquartered in Inverness, Fla. Sales for 2021 totaled around $16 million, according to the announcement.
“J Newton Enterprises is a key player in the Florida market, strengthening our existing pedestrian business and our service offering in that region, enabling us to provide an even better customer experience,” said Massimo Grassi, executive vice president of ASSA ABLOY and head of entrance systems division.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
