Resideo Technologies announced during its annual CONNECT customer event in Marco Island, Fla., that the company will combine its separate security, HVAC and plumbing loyalty programs into one Premier Partner program.
Starting in 2023, the First Alert Pro Premier Partner program will replace the existing Resideo Premier Security Dealer (RPSD) program. The First Alert Pro program and the Premier Partner program will provide security and comfort enrolled companies with financial incentives, industry insights, tools, training and networking to help enable their business growth.
Earlier this year, Resideo acquired First Alert, a provider of home safety products, from Newell Brands for $593 million in an all cash transaction. Professionals interested in joining the new Premier Partner program can contact their sales representative for additional information.
The 33rd annual CONNECT customer event was held Nov. 10-13. Each year the event brings together security, HVAC and plumbing professionals for training, community service, new product and technology announcements, and to celebrate partner achievements.
With a brand promise of protecting what matters most, Resideo's event theme, "Making a Difference," showcased the impact Resideo's solutions offer its network of security dealers, HVAC contractors and plumbers and recognized the impact they have on their communities.
"At our annual CONNECT event, I’m surrounded — and am always deeply humbled — by the impact our contractors and dealers make each day," Scott Harkins, vice president of sales, Resideo, stated in an announcement. “They deliver services that make a difference in their communities; they keep people safe and comfortable in their homes; and they look to future technologies to help transform homes."
During the event, attendees helped Florida communities impacted by Hurricane Ian. For example, a cross-section of Resideo customers and employees created disaster relief kits, and additional funds were raised for the American Red Cross of Central Florida and its local recovery efforts.
New Smart Water Management Solution
Resideo launched its new smart water management solution at the event, the Resideo Braukmann L5 WiFi Water Leak Shutoff Valve. Installed by a professional, the L5 helps protect homeowners from water damage by turning off the water supply to the home when a water leak is detected by the attached sensing cable or by a paired Resideo WiFi Water Leak & Freeze Detector.
"From helping homeowners feel safe to helping them avoid costly water leaks, Resideo is redefining what home security means," said Scott Ziffra, senior vice president, engineering & product management. "Water damage is one of the most common and costly home insurance claims, and our new Braukmann Shutoff Valve will continue to help our customers protect what matters most."
Starting this month, professionals can order the L5 through select distributors in the U.S., United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
Additionally, Resideo shared key information from its inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report it released in October. The comprehensive report highlights Resideo's commitment to designing for sustainability, reducing its environmental impact in its facilities, creating social impact and building trust through governance.
