Mission 500, a charitable nonprofit organization engaging security professionals to assist families in crisis across the USA, will announce the winners of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Humanitarian Awards at ISC West today, Thursday, March 30. The ceremony will take place at The Bridge Stage – Booth #25063 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Previous winners of the Mission 500 CSR Award include ADT, Altronix, Axis Communications, NorthStar Home, Alliance Security, Fluent Home, Protection 1, Pelco by Schneider Electric, Vivint, Convergint Technologies and Brinks Home Security, and ADI Global Distribution.
Past winners of the Humanitarian Award include Chris Mosley, George Fletcher, The Hurricane Harvey Heroes (Curtis Kindred, Harley Schild, Todd Fitch), Jay Gotra, Sean Sportun, Anne Glickstein, Charles “Dom” D’Ascoli, Alan Forman, Mary Jensby, Barb Holliday, Michael Keegan, Dave Foglio and Ken Gould.
In addition to these awards, Mission 500 will also announce the winners from the Mission 500 Security 5K Run/2K Walk charity event that was held this morning. Proceeds from this fundraiser go to help children in need across the United States.
Mission 500 is a nonprofit organization that works closely with the security industry to serve the needs of children and communities in crisis here in the U.S. Mission 500 exists to advocate for children living in severe poverty, inspire and act as a catalyst in the security industry for excellence in corporate social responsibility, and mobilize volunteers and resource to make a tangible difference for children and families living in poverty in the U.S. Since inception of their 501c3 status in 2016, the industry has helped produce 340,000 meals, assemble care packs filled with essential hygiene items for 3,700 families, and distribute more than 11,500 book bags filled with school supplies to students attending Title One schools.
