OMNI Resource Management, a regional provider of diversified facilities services, announced the acquisition of Alarm Computer Technology (ACT), a Massachusetts-based full-service security systems contractor.
Founded in 1983 by Helder Lemos, ACT specializes in video surveillance, intrusion and fire alarms, and automation systems. According to the company’s website, ACT services several thousand residential and commercial customers throughout New England, as well as in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
“ACT’s geographical service area, large commercial client base, and long-standing commitment to quality service aligns very well with our business model. We look forward to a seamless integration and the opportunity to support the valued ACT clients,” said OMNI CEO Chris Pratt.
The acquisition of ACT is a strategic part of OMNI’s expansion and growth in the electronic security industry and comes on the heels of its recent acquisition of Mainstream Communication Systems, a Massachusetts telecommunications contractor.
ACT will merge operations with Security Concepts, the electronic security division of Braintree, Mass.-based OMNI.
“This decision was driven by our goal to always put our clients’ interests first. Partnering with OMNI will provide our clients with the highest level of service, and I am confident the long-term relationships we have built over the last forty years will remain strong,” Lemos stated.
The acquisition will grow OMNI’s market share in the security industry, which will provide enhanced services and capabilities for its clients throughout the East Coast, according to the announcement.
