Seam, a United States based provider of a hardware agnostic access control platform, announced the release of 2N intercom integration.

The integration now allows for the connection and control of 2N intercoms and access systems to the Seam platform via the Seam API and Seam Space Dashboard. Users can unlock doors, edit resident directory and retrieve entry events. Most 2N intercom models come with a built-in camera. Integration to the camera feed will be part of Seam’s broader Universal Camera API anticipated to be released in Q3 of 2023. Seam is planning to expand this integration over time to include additional features like the ability to tap into the video feed.

Seam’s 2N integration goes through the My2N cloud. Users will need credentials to My2N as well as the on-prem unit they are trying to connect with. To start, open the Seam Space dashboard and navigate to “+ Linked Account.” Select 2N as the provider. Then, enter the user’s My2N cloud credentials. Seam will then retrieve all the user’s devices. The user will then be presented with a list of all these devices. Select the devices the user wants to connect. Seam will then present a login screen for each project as each on premises device will have its own login credentials. Once the devices are connected, users will be able to unlock the door, edit residents, retrieve events and eventually tap into the camera feed of the device.
