Approximately 2,000 game tickets were given away by Guardian Protection to local police officers, firefighters and their families making it possible for them to visit PNC Park July 15, 2023 where the Pittsburgh Pirates played the San Francisco Giants.

Among those cheering were City of Pittsburgh Police Chief Larry Scirotto, who was sworn-in June 7, 2023 as the city’s 55th chief, had the honor of throwing out the first pitch. He also joined 50 selected attendees on the field for a spectacular view of fireworks following the game.

The day before the game, Guardian generated excitement for the event with representatives from the company and the Pirates organization making personal visits to local police and fire departments. Citizens and first responders could get an autograph and catch a smile watching the antics of mascot Pirate Parrot. On game day, Guardian setup shop in branded purple tents along the North Shore of the city where interested game goers signed up to learn more about a smart home security system and take home some Guardian swag.

“As a smart security systems company providing 24/7 emergency monitoring, we know that police officers and firefighters are on duty ‘round the clock,” Kevin Bish, vice president of marketing, Guardian, said. Free tickets to the baseball game are a way of helping them enjoy a little off-duty time with their families. We appreciate the impact police and fire departments make in keeping homes and businesses safer.”
