Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired Excel Fire Sprinkler Co., a full-service fire sprinkler company based in Roebuck, S.C., for undisclosed terms.

In an announcement, Pye-Barker, which placed ninth on the 2023 SDM 100 rankings, states that its purposeful acquisition strategy has been focused on partnering with complementary fire, life safety and security businesses on its path to becoming the nation’s largest single-source service provider.

With the addition of Excel Fire Sprinkler, Pye-Barker says it has saturated the South Carolina market in fire sprinkler, fire suppression, fire alarms and security services, with nine acquired companies there.  

Excel Fire Sprinkler provides inspection, testing, installation, design and fabrication of fire sprinkler systems, specializing in retail, mixed-use, high-rise and multifamily projects. Excel Fire Sprinkler operates on a team-based structure and continually invests in education for its employees on the latest techniques and regulations to keep customers safe and code-compliant, according to the announcement.
