Redwire, a Tallahassee, Fla.-based provider of integrated security solutions announced the acquisition of the of State Alarm, located in Port Richey, Fla. 

Founded in 2005 by Don Shury, State Alarm has a rich, almost 20-year history in the intrusion and fire detection, video surveillance and access control businesses, according to the announcement. Through the purchase of the majority of their roughly 1,200 accounts, 80 percent commercial and 20 percent residential, Redwire strengthens its presence in Central and South Florida. 

Ted Frazee, president of Redwire, said the purchase of State Alarm “aligns perfectly with our vision for strategic expansion and innovation in the security sector.”
