MAC Alarms, serving the greater Dallas area, recently completed a merger with No. 1 Fire Safety Systems of Hickory Creek, Texas.

MAC Alarms secured a loan for an undisclosed amount with Alarm Financial Services (AFS), which enables MAC to build out its commercial fire business with more robust solutions, according to an announcement.

MAC Alarms is a locally owned alarm company specializing in both residential and commercial intrusion and fire/life-safety.

“By merging with No. 1 Fire, we can maximize our growth by providing more security services, camera systems and access control to a growing customer base,” said Brent Kitchens, owner of MAC Alarms. “Fortunately, we had worked with AFS before, so we knew we could count on their expertise to assist us throughout the merger.”

For AFS, the merger was a winning proposition. “Since AFS had been providing financing to both No. 1 Fire and MAC Alarms, we were pleased to be able to introduce the two companies and help facilitate a successful merger,” said AFS President Jim Wooster.

AFS has been providing loans and advisory services to dealers looking to grow their business, consolidate debt, expand operations or make acquisitions since 1987. Founded by Jim Wooster, Sr., AFS is the oldest funding company serving the alarm industry.
