IK Systems, a Victor, N.Y.-based provider of integrated surveillance and security systems, demonstrated its dedication to community involvement by participating in the inaugural Security Industry Community Service Day event organized by the Security Industry Association (SIA).
The event took place at the ARC of Ontario County Eberhardt Center in upstate New York, where IK Systems employees volunteered their time and efforts to enhance the organization’s landscaping.
Mulching for a Purpose
The IK Systems team rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, focusing on mulching the grounds at Eberhardt Center. From spreading mulch around trees and flower beds to ensuring a neat and well-maintained outdoor environment, the volunteers contributed to the ARC’s mission of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Jarrod Turner, director of engagement at IK Systems, emphasized the significance of community involvement, stating, “At IK Systems, we believe that giving back is an integral part of our corporate responsibility. Our team’s participation in this event reflects our commitment to making a positive impact beyond our business operations.”
SIA's #SecurityGivesBack initiative encourages security professionals to engage with local communities, fostering collaboration and goodwill. By volunteering at the ARC of Ontario County, IK Systems not only enhanced the grounds, but also strengthened connections with fellow community members.
