The AVerMedia SA6416 is a 16-channel standalone DVR with an embedded Windows operating system combining the functions of a surveillance recorder with a multiplexer. Featuring advanced MPEG 4 compression, 16 video inputs, three SATA removable hard drive capacity and the capability to accommodate up to six USB external storage devices (cameras not included), the unit offers easy video recording, playback, backup, search and editing features. Other features include eight-channel audio input, built-in video encryption to scramble remote video access, point of sale integration and watermark image verification technology. Remote monitoring, recording and playback can be performed through either LAN or Internet. The unit can be connected to virtually any CCTV or LCD monitor to view video and playback, and can also be monitored and controlled through Web-enabled PDAs and Mobile Handy Views.
