Genesis Cable, Pleasant Prairie, Wis., part of Honeywell Security, will open a new manufacturing facility in Juarez, Mexico, and adopt a new shift schedule to maximize its current operations.

The plant expansion and shift changes are driven in part by a continuing favorable trend in housing starts.

“These changes will allow us to enhance our capacity for customers and meet their growing business needs,” said Jim Coleman, president of Genesis Cable. “It’s also part of our ongoing efforts to increase efficiency and simplify the infrastructure required to support our business and position Honeywell for long-term growth.” Honeywell acquired Genesis Cable in July 2004.
