Transition Series of physical access control readers from GE Infrastructure, Security, are compatible with any access control system that uses Wiegand-based data communications up to 64 bits in addition to 125 KHz proximity, MIFARE and Vicinity standards. The Transition Series of readers is designed for organizations attempting to enhance their physical access control architecture by changing to MIFARE or Vicinity smart card technology, but staying with their existing legacy systems at the same time.
