The Magnasphere switch from Magnasphere Corp. is constructed of metal, not glass, and is resistant to permanent contact welding. The switch operates with the activation magnet in a specific zone. An attempt to defeat the switch with a stronger external magnet outside the zone will cause the contacts to open and trigger the alarm. A weaker magnet will have no effect on the contact and the system will remain secure. These switches, which can retrofit to existing systems, use all-metal welded construction that is impervious to the rigors of installation, use and the environment. Magnasphere Corp.
