The EtherNav product line of IFS fiber-optic transmission equipment has been expanded with the DEV7100 Series, an MPEG-4 video CODEC that allows a single baseband NTSC video, camera control data and audio signal to be IP-encoded and transported on a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet network through a standard electrical and optical output. It is controlled with GE Security Symnet software that allows monitoring and remote pan/tilt/zoom control that can be accomplished by a central monitoring station or any computer with an Internet connection. The output cam be 10/100TX electrical, 100 FX optical or a baseband video output connection. It is also configurable by the Internet. It features standard-, medium- and high-quality settings for bandwidth conservation and functions as both an encoder and decoder.IFS
