The Active VGA Balun Kit from MuxLab allows VGA cable to be replaced by Category 5 twisted pair cable up to 500 ft. at UXGA (1600 by 1200) for applications that require greater resolution and distance than supported by passive VGA over Category 5. The kit includes one VGA transmitter and one VGA receiver and features adjustable gain control that compensates for smearing, propagation delay and phase deviation depending on cable length. It supports a local monitor for added versatility and has LED diagnostic indicators for troubleshooting.
