An open-source facility security management software offers native IP device connectivity. The Proviso-IP reader is compatible with HID iCLASS and smart card technologies as well as the HID VertX controllers. It is designed to integrate IP video and IP access control at a peer-to-peer level over the TCP network protocol. This allows enterprise end users to utilize native IP cameras without overusing bandwidth because the video is only recorded on alarm events. The complete software package is free to the end user who will also have full access to the source code to modify feature sets or outsource requirements to Middleware Associates Professional Services Group.
