An upgrade to Home Automation Inc.’s Web-Link is available for current owners over the Internet. New features on Web-Link II allow it to run as a Windows service whenever the computer is on. A control canel applet configures properties. Web-Link II and HAI Home Control for Windows Media Center are supported on the same computer. RSS support is on the Web-Link II home page, allowing the user to easily add custom data such as weather forecasts, sports scores, news and personal blogs. Web-Link II has a touchscreen user interface and offers new skins as well as improved support for sending and logging e-mails. Setup now addresses Windows Firewall, directory security and SP2 security permissions issues. The update also offers support for HAI Omni IIe Controllers, the latest lighting protocols, extended range temperature sensors and Windows Media Player 10.Home Automation Inc.
