Gamewell-FCI’s expandable emergency evacuation system E3 Series, is approved by Underwriters Laboratories’ (UL) for controlling smoke throughout a building/ structure per the ninth edition of UL code 864. As an approved system for smoke control, the series can now be installed to work in conjunction with non-dedicated HVAC equipment to form a system for controlling the flow of smoke in a building during a fire condition. Utilizing fans, ducts and dampers, the system uses compartmentalization and pressurization to limit and/or control smoke movement within a building.
