Vicon Industries Inc., Hauppauge, N.Y., a producer of digital and IP video surveillance systems, completed its renovation of the Robert R. Howe Memorial training room and showroom located within Vicon corporate headquarters. The room is the site of frequent customer and dealer training courses and product demonstrations held throughout the year.
Equipment in the training room has been updated to showcase ViconNet 4.0 and its Virtual Matrix Controller – to be released later this year. Two 50-inch plasma screens and four 19-inch LCD monitors, working in conjunction with soon-to-be-released KRX-3 video decoders, allow for demonstrations of the Virtual Matrix Controller’s ability to simulate the functionality of a true, cross-point matrix switching system. Twenty fully functional workstations connected to an active ViconNet system allow visitors to participate in hands-on training, learning to operate and control all connected components.
The room’s lighting has been upgraded to be more comfortable and highlight products. Built-in shelving and cabinetry provide ample space to display active and static product. An updated PA system and new carpeting complete the renovation. For more information on the company, visitwww.vicon-cctv.com.
