For 2007, Windy City Wire has planned to expand staff and training for its new headquarters in Bolingbrook, Ill. The headquarters encompasses 115,000 square feet and will allow for more inventory available on site. In addition, because of the company’s growth, human resources and senior management find it necessary to accommodate for the company’s development with staff and an updated training program.
The company anticipates hiring five to 10 new sales professionals to be staffed at the headquarters. Staff expansion for 2007 is also expected to take place at Windy City Wire’s other three locations: Tempe, Ariz.; Secaucus, N.J.; and Los Angeles.
In more company news, Windy City Wire announced advanced training and certification programs for integrators. In addition to training seminars, manufacturer meetings and vendor shows, Windy City Wire also certifies technicians on electronic systems.
The training and certification programs are conducted at either Windy City Wire’s facility or at the facility of the technician. A 50-person training room in the company’s headquarters allows for in-depth training sessions on SmartWire and the SmartWire System Design Tool, among other topics.
