Tyco Fire & Security introduced the DSC GS3055-I GSM alarm communicator that uses the GPRS data channel of the GSM network. It can serve as a primary or backup alarm communicator and for installations that have converted to Voice over IP (VoIP). The alarm communicator provides full reporting from any contact ID panel. It reports to the monitoring station without the need of a clearinghouse. Connect 24, which is the digital service provider for the GS3055-I, administers accounts and handles billing.
