At the Gala, guests played SDM's version of the nighttime game show, IDENTITY, in which contestants were challenged to match a set of people to their "secret identities."
The Gala was conceived to honor security firms that are ranked on the 2007SDM100 by their recurring monthly revenue. These firms operate as sales, installation, service and monitoring businesses in both residential and non-residential markets. This year marked the 17th annualSDM100, which measures consumer dollars captured by these national, regional and local providers.
TheSDM100 in 2006 garnered $409.6 million in recurring monthly revenue. By total revenue, they represent 24 percent market share of the entire security-installing industry.
Guests at the gala were invited to begin the evening with cocktails while they greeted and met representatives from the Gala’s sponsoring companies — ADI, American Sentry Guard, Exacq Technologies, GE Security, HID, Honeywell Security, and Micro Key Software.
SDM’s editor, Laura Stepanek, recognized each SDM 100 company representative in attendance. “Not only is tonight’s gala intended for the industry’s leaders to get to know one another better; but it’s intended for us to recognize your companies’ leadership positions in the security industry, to honor your commitment to the communities and markets you serve, and to celebrate your successes,” she said.
