Bosch Security Systems Inc. introduced Access Personal Edition, an easy-to-use, modular software program for small- to medium-sized businesses. The software is ideal for organizations such as retail stores, office buildings, and manufacturing facilities that require a high level of security but do not currently need a large-scale system. The software supports up to 2,000 users, 64 readers and 16 workstations and uses the Access Modular Controller hardware platform, which communicates through TCP/IP and RS485. This platform gives users the option to scale up to a more advanced Bosch access control solution without the expense of new hardware. Access Personal Edition is easy to operate with an intuitive Windows-based interface.
