Niscayah Group AB, the ninth-ranked systems integrator on SDM’s 2009 Top Systems Integrators Report, this week appointed Håkan Kirstein its new president and CEO. A graduate of Stockholm University, he moves over from StatoilHydro Group, where he most recently served as managing director of StatoilHydro in Sweden. Kirstein will assume his new role on March 1, 2010.

“Håkan’s extensive experience of leading companies undergoing change, combined with his personality and leadership qualities, have convinced the board of directors that he is the right person to lead the company’s continued expansion,” said Jorma Halonen, Niscayah chairman of the board.

Kirstein succeeds 10-year company veteran Juan Vallejo, who has been involved with the considerable expansion of the company into the European security market.

“Juan has made a substantial contribution to Niscayah’s development from a division of the Securitas Group into a leading European company. His achievements have been fantastic, particularly during the restructuring efforts of the past year,” Halonen said.
