Evolution seems to be a popular theme across industry these days. Manufacturers — among others — are evolving their processes and facilities to meet sustainability goals. Media companies are, on a daily basis, considering new and social media tools as they evolve from traditional print and broadcast outlets. The security industry is no different, and its evolution is the subject of the Electronic Security Association’s 2010 Leadership Summit, “Embracing the Future 2010,” to be held Jan. 12-14, 2010 at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas.
The three-day conference features a packed agenda, highlighted by Wednesday’s schedule of workshops and networking opportunities. Following the ESA State Association leadership breakfast and ESA update, productivity expert Maura Thomas presents The Future of Communication and Attention in the Age of Social Media, a look at managing the distractions presented by the information age. After a networking lunch, attendees will hear about the trends that will impact how security companies are managed in Megatrends 2010: Trends that Will Impact how you Conduct Business. Ron Davis, founder of the Davis Marketing Group, presents. The afternoon sessions conclude with a look at alternatives to dues for generating revenue and best practices for driving membership.
Wednesday’s activities conclude with the ESA Leadership Awards dinner. The awards acknowledge outstanding or exemplary efforts through the year by individuals and organizations in the industry. Nomination forms are available on the event Website; nomination deadline is Dec. 4.
Various committee and council meetings dominate the schedules for Tuesday and Thursday. Visit the event Website for more information.
