Honeywell today named Ron Rothman president of its global security business, the Honeywell Security Group. He succeeds Ben Cornett, who is retiring after serving as president of the business since 2002.

“Ron is a highly accomplished industry leader with many years of experience building our security business, growing new and long-term customer relationships, and bringing product innovation to market,” said Roger Fradin, president and CEO of Automation and Control Solutions, to whom Rothman reports.

President of Honeywell Security & Communications since ’02, Rothman takes helm of the business that manufactures and supplies electronic security technology for homes, businesses and government facilities. Cornett stays on as chairman of the security business, aiding in the transition until his retirement.
