Featuring an interoperability demonstration, the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) is hosting its public Plugfest and Reception during ISC West. Scheduled for Thursday, March 25, at 4:30 p.m. in meeting room 2203 of the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, the event provides attendees an opportunity to view the potential of a global standard for network video products and to be part of the latest developments within ONVIF.
"The highlight of the reception is the show plug fest, where member companies will demonstrate interoperable network video products," says Jonas Andersson, chairman of ONVIF's steering committee.
Andersson will review the organization's accomplishments over the past year, including specification updates, completion of a conformance test plan and creation of a software testing tool, and will give an outlook on ONVIF's future and path forward. The open forum has attracted more than 140 member companies, and more than 50 ONVIF-conformant products are available on the market.
"I believe that ONVIF's accomplishments during the last year made it clear that a global standard for network video products is about to become reality," says Andersson. "Therefore, it is important for us to continue to be open and share our visions and achievements at events like this."
