Alan Kent, a certified residential building designer, has always discouraged homeowners from “going overboard” with technology. But his experiences at CEDIA’s Electronic Lifestyles Expo April 18-21 in Las Vegas have changed the way he perceives residential electronic systems.
“I thought of integrated technology as a hassle that offered little real benefit to my clients,” Kent said. “The continuing-education classes I took and the people I met at Electronic Lifestyles Expo showed me that the process can be smooth and bring great value to homeowners if a CEDIA contractor is brought in at the planning stage.”
The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), Indianapolis, designed its Electronic Lifestyles Expo to help bridge the gap between design and technology. News of next year’s Expo event and other CEDIA outreach initiatives is updated regularly atwww.cedia.org.
