Honeywell released a version of LYNX Plus that displays and announces system status in Spanish. LYNX Plus is the security industry’s first self-contained wireless residential system that internally supports two-way voice capabilities over GSM and an integrated signal-strength meter, Honeywell described. LYNX Plus is a combination control panel, keypad, siren, dialer, two-way voice system and speakerphone. An internal GSM radio lets dealers offer RMR-generating services such as Total Connect, which lets end-users manage their security systems, view live video and receive important alerts from wireless mobile devices. LYNX Plus can communicate using standard phone lines, IP transmission and GSM.
