SECO-LARM is currently shipping a new UL (USA and Canada) listed, Grade 1 Rim-type push bar. The SECO-LARM SD-962AR-36G is a new heavy-duty Rim-type push bar exit device that mounts on the inside of any standard door to securely block entry to a protected premises while allowing users inside the protected premises to exit. It features a heavy-duty steel construction, and is compliant with the ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standard for exit devices. Exit devices rated Grade 1 have been tested to operate for 500,000 door open cycles and able to withstand a minimum outside pull of 400 pound-force. The SD-962AR-36G has a reversible non-handed design so it works on both right-swing and left-swing doors. It is suitable for metal or wood doors up to 1¾ in. thick. It can be easily cut in the field to fit doors from 33 in. to 48 in. wide. It also includes a separate deadlocking latch to prevent opening of the latch bolt by a credit card or similar means.
