CNL Software, a provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, announced the global release of the IPSecurityCenter Developer Network (IPSCDevNet™), becoming the first PSIM vendor to build a community of certified driver developers, according to the company.
The IPSCDevNet™ will provide registered partners with all the tools and support needed to create certified integration drivers to the IPSecurityCenter™ PSIM platform. It will allow the open integration of a wide range of security and environmental management systems, including CCTV, access control, radar, PIDS, and fire.
IPSCDevNet™ partners will have access to a full test suite, which allows low cost, fast and reliable development, the company stated. Partners are also provided with user guides, reference documentation and fully working examples. Interest among CNL Software channel and technology partners has been high, with a number of certified drivers already in use in installed projects, according to CNL Software.
Jon Lunnerfeldt, product manager at CNL Software commented, “This is a great advancement for the PSIM market. By allowing third parties to develop their own drivers, manufacturers of underlying systems who may have previously held some reservations about sharing their technology can now work within enterprise PSIM projects without sharing their SDKs or APIs. We have invested significantly in creating an environment similar to the app development which has revolutionized smart phones. This creates cost and time reductions for both end users and CNL Software partners.”
