The officers of Akron Hardware, Akron, Ohio, announced the purchase of Hardware Suppliers of America (HSI) located in Greensboro, N.C.

Akron Hardware recently celebrated its 50th year in business. Currently Akron Hardware has locations in Ohio, Arizona, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. They are known as the largest wholesale distributor of ASSA ABLOY products, and carry Hager, Dorma, ACSI and Kaba products as well. HSI, in the industry since 1983, is also a wholesale distributor. They have locations in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas and California and are known primarily as a wholesaler of Ingersoll Rand and Stanley products. The assets and expertise of Akron Hardware and HSI will provide a more complete wholesale solution to the hardware industry.
