HTS (Hi-Tech Solutions) Ltd., Rishon LeZion, Israel, a company in the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and computer vision systems market, announced the opening of its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary HTS Americas based in New York.
HTS Americas Inc. was formed as a result of the rapidly growing business in the United States, Canada, Central and South America, along with the company’s desire to provide enhanced service and support levels to its expanding customer base in these countries. “Sales growth and customer support are a top priority and will be accomplished with a dedicated team of business and technical professionals that are local to our customers,” said Phil Elovic, president and chief executive officer of HTS Ltd.
HTS Americas will drive HTS’s expansion into strategic markets including parking, access control, transportation, critical assets, border surveillance, and safe city.
HTS recruited John Whiteman to lead HTS Americas as its CEO. Whiteman has more than 20 years of experience in the electronic security systems industry with extensive experience in government, homeland security, military, retail and Fortune 1000 markets.
“There is tremendous demand and opportunity for more robust LPR based systems in a number of exciting markets. HTS’ license plate recognition and proprietary vehicle identity recognition technology provide the technological advancements and comprehensive solution that the markets are thirsting for and our customers are demanding,” stated Whiteman.
