eco Technologies announced availability of the GS DVR, the fourth release in Speco’s S-Series line of DVRs. The GS DVR is capable of simultaneously recording at 480 ips at D1 (4CIF). The user interface is optimized for full HD monitors. A side control bar interface enables immediate access to every function while minimizing distraction from the live view screen. The setup menu, with its 3-D icons, aims to make the unit the stylish and intuitive. The GS is a multi-channel hybrid DVR with Digital Deterrent and CIF real-time recording that coordinates with date/time, calendar, event, motion/museum and text-in search. The GS includes Mac and PC compatibility software and can send text-message alerts of system activity and status. This unit is remote upgradeable and available in 24 and 32 channels with hard drive storage capacity ranging from 500 GB to 8 TB with a three-year warranty. The unit can be remotely viewed on iPhone, Blackberry or Android, with a free iPhone app available from iTunes.
