OzVision and Schneider Electric signed a strategic marketing and distribution agreement to provide U.S. businesses with comprehensive Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) solutions. The agreement was signed in January 2012 and announced last week during ISC West.
The OzVision platform leverages the OzVision Continuous Off-site Video Recording (COVR)™ core technology to securely transmit and store video off-site, over the public network, creating an “always available” and “always accessible” video recording system at a very affordable price point, the companies stated. Services available on the platform include secure off-site video storage, LiveView look-in, and real-time “push services” such as video event notification and scheduled video guide tours. These services can be instantly added to any existing or new installation with zero upgrade or modification to the customer’s CCTV infrastructure; this provides the customer with the flexibility of using the OzVision services as a complement to an existing DVR solution or as a complete DVR replacement.
“We see the agreement with Schneider Electric as a major milestone for VSaaS solutions becoming a need-to-have element of a real-time security and facilities management solution offering,” said Richard Bauer, president of OzVision. “The OzVision Secure Network (OSN)™ platform provides the foundation for our partners to offer high value services. Schneider Electric’s application and usage of our technology within their total solutions offering is perfectly suited for their target markets.”
