Alarm Detection Systems Inc., Aurora, Ill., acquired Norshore Alarm Company Inc., a privately-owned residential and commercial security business located in Libertyville, Illinois. This merger allows Alarm Detection Systems to expand its footprint in northern Illinois and bring a whole spectrum of advanced services to its ever-growing customer base. As both companies share best-in-class service reputations, the transition for existing accounts will be seamless, the company said.

“We are pleased to add the expertise and value that Norshore represents to our own 44 year history of quality operations,” said Bob Bonifas, founder and chief executive officer of Alarm Detection Systems. Under the agreement, Ken Hohs, the owner of Norshore, will be an integral part of the transition. Alarm Detection Systems will maintain Norshore’s existing office in Libertyville to support sales and growth throughout the region.
