BCDVideo announced its latest workstation platforms based upon Intel’s Sandy Bridge E5 family of Xeon processors. In addition to sizes ranging from 2 TB to 12 TB, a number of models now incorporate RAID 5 technology, which was unavailable in earlier models. The units all are available in both tower and rack configurations. The BCD420V, BCD620V and BCD820V video workstations all offer multiple configuration options that support a wide range of high-performance Intel Xeon E5 processors with 4, 6 or 8 cores, and from 1 GB to 8 GB of video RAM. Among the numerous client viewing stations just released are the BCD820V-CWP-12D-8G, a 12-monitor ready system running on twin Intel Xeon E5-2650 8-core processors, and the BCD420V-CWS-6D-2G, which is capable of supporting six monitors.
