Linear LLC, Carlsbad, Calif., a manufacturer of personal emergency response systems (PERS), introduces the PERS-4200— the system that extends transmission range, expands wireless capabilities and gives users more performance and convenience features.
With more people living at home later in life, improvements were made to accommodate the aging-in-place population and make the PERS-4200 usable in assisted living and other care facilities. Among the advancements are an increased transmission range of 1,000 feet for larger lots, homes or living areas and multi-lingual software suites (English, Spanish, French). For easier monitoring and scheduling, the PERS-4200 also has improved system alerts. Now, "smart" system trouble and inactive user alerts can be set along with a variety of customizable alerts, pre-recorded reminders and appointment messages
Systems can be further customized with add-on modules, giving systems and installations the ability to stay up-to-date with future advances in technology. Initial module releases include a plug-in 3G Cellular Module that allows the PERS-4200 to work in homes without analog phone lines.
A number of improvements speed set-up: turnkey programming, USB port (for local programming), real-time diagnostics, upgradable firmware and remote transmitter enrolling.
All Linear PERS and household transmitters are compatible with the new system.
