ComNet released its CNSFPMC variable rate electrical-to-optical media converter, which allows users to select between 10/100 Mbps and 1000Mbps transmission at the flip of a switch. This ensures there will be enough bandwidth for users to upgrade to Gigabit bandwidth in the future, as well as for situations where there are multiple devices with varying bandwidth requirements.

The CNSFPMC uses small form factor devices to give users flexibility in choosing fiber type, connector type and distance.
