The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) was named a Fastest 50 winner by Trade Show Executive magazine, which recognizes the fastest-growing trade shows in the country. The fast-growing show, which has received much industry attention for its networking, education and all around team opportunities, was honored for the percentage of growth in total attendance for the 2011 event in Charlotte, N.C.
"We're honored to have been recognized as one of the fastest-growing trade shows in the country," said George De Marco, ESX Chair. "Each year, we continue to enhance the show floor, augment the education program, and provide numerous networking events for integration and monitoring companies. This winning formula contributed to ESX being recognized for its vibrant growth.
"We remain focused on executing our strategy of providing a dynamic ecosystem for security professionals to experience at ESX, helping them develop new partnerships, uncover new business opportunities, and connect with colleagues."
The growth in total attendance from the 2010 event in Pittsburgh to the 2011 event in Charlotte was 15.1 percent. After the 2011 event in Charlotte, ESA and CSAA, the two associations that direct and sponsor the event, reached the $1 million mark for funds invested back into the industry.
"ESX's attendance growth eclipsed the performance of most shows in 2011," said Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group, noting that the average tradeshow across a wide spectrum of industries grew 1.9 percent, according to Trade Show Executive's Monthly Dashboard of Trade Show Metrics.
