Speco Technologies, Amityville, N.Y., announced that is VIP cameras are now fully integrated with Control4. Control4, based in Salt Lake City, provides automation systems for homes and businesses, offering personalized control of lighting, music, video, temperature, security, communications and similar functionalities into a unified home automation solution.

This integration means that users benefiting from the advantages of automation systems can control Speco’s VIP IP cameras from the same software platform that controls other appliances in their home or business.

Now, dealers are able to search for Speco VIP cameras within Control 4’s Composer software. Speco noted that for motorized lens cameras, they do work with Control4; however, the remote focusing function needs to be handled separately. PTZ-related integration will follow later, as well as ONSIP camera integration.
