Security Apps for Google Glass

Google has yet to announce a definitive release date for its new “Glass.” A limited number of pairs exist in the world now, primarily in the hands of app developers and technology writers. One such lucky developer is one of IQinVision’s engineers, who was granted a pair through participation in Google’s Explorer program. According to IQinVision, that makes it the first security company to develop apps for this new product.  Among the apps currently in development, IQinVision created a focus tool that will help installers focus and optimize IQeye cameras — hands free. Another is designed to be used by security officers to relay information in case of break-ins and confrontations, easily perform “tours” and receive pop-up alerts with associated video during an alarm event.
